Universal Banker – Islamic Banking (Hybrid)

About the role

The Universal Banker will drive growth of Shariah‑compliant products, cross‑sell Islamic retail banking solutions and ensure an excellent customer experience across the branch network. The role combines business development, risk management and operational compliance in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Islamic banking strategic initiatives to increase new business and wallet share.
• Manage portfolio risk in line with the bank’s appetite and ensure compliance with KYC/AML policies.
• Collaborate with sales, asset finance, CIB and bancassurance teams to maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Maintain high service standards, meet turnaround times for account onboarding and loan processing.
• Monitor branch performance, contribute to sales strategy and address customer complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Business‑related degree from a recognised university.
• Minimum 3 years retail branch sales experience, preferably in Islamic banking.
• Strong knowledge of Shariah‑compliant products, Muslim banking culture and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computerized banking applications.
• Advanced use of spreadsheets for reporting and analysis.
