About the role

This remote volunteer position supports Conserve Congo’s effort to protect wildlife in the Democratic Republic of Congo by shaping and delivering compelling communications. You will work with a small team of conservation professionals to craft storytelling strategies, manage social media channels, and produce video and documentary content that highlights biodiversity, community initiatives, and anti‑poaching successes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a storytelling strategy aligned with conservation goals.
• Create and schedule engaging social‑media posts for global audiences.
• Produce video scripts, storyboards, and oversee documentary‑style storytelling.
• Strengthen brand positioning through consistent messaging across platforms.
• Collaborate with field staff to translate on‑the‑ground insights into compelling narratives.

Required profile

• Experience in communications, journalism, or documentary storytelling.
• Passion for wildlife conservation and African‑led initiatives.
• Ability to work independently with 5–10 hours per week.
• Strong written English skills.
