DREEM Grants Intern – RLOs, Pan African

About the role
The DREEM Grants Intern will support the DREEM Grants Officer in advancing the second phase of the DREEM initiative, which aims to empower refugee, displaced and host‑community youth across Africa. Based in Nairobi, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in grant management, partnership coordination, and impact monitoring within a leading international development organization.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of the RLO Opportunity Fund, including data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- Support capacity‑building activities for Refugee‑Led Organizations, preparing training materials and logistical arrangements.
- Conduct research and analysis on youth employment and education outcomes to inform program adjustments.
- Prepare briefings, summaries, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate communications between WUSC, partner NGOs, and RLOs to ensure timely information flow.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a university program related to international development, finance, economics, or a similar field.
- Strong interest in refugee and youth empowerment initiatives in Africa.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
