Retail Sales Assistant – Nairobi (Westlands)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and energetic Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them find products and ensuring a smooth shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer product queries and guide them to merchandise.
• Process payments accurately using cash registers or point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Restock shelves, maintain visual displays and assist with inventory counts.
• Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally.
• Maintain correct price labels and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Keep the store clean, tidy and organized at all times.
• Participate in in‑store marketing events and promotions.
• Develop in‑depth knowledge of the product range to recommend items effectively.

Required profile

• Minimum High School KCSE Certificate.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and exceptional customer service orientation.
• At least one month of retail or sales experience (junior level).

Required skills

• Operation of POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Cash handling and transaction processing.
• Basic inventory management and stock replenishment.
