Director, Specialist Sales – SME

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a commercially driven Director to lead SME payment solution sales and partner growth across selected EEMEA markets. The role sits at the intersection of sales execution, ecosystem development and commercialization, responsible for turning strategic partnerships into measurable revenue. You will own end‑to‑end performance from opportunity identification to pipeline development, deal closure and sustained revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a revenue‑driven sales and activation strategy for emerging SME payment flows and partner‑led distribution models.
• Identify, prioritize and convert high‑potential opportunities across banks, fintechs, marketplaces, telcos, trade and logistics platforms.
• Drive pipeline progression, deal closure, partner activation and revenue realization for SME programs.
• Collaborate with Account Management, Business Development and Product teams to build business cases, go‑to‑market strategies and solution designs.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics and emerging payment flows to inform strategy and uncover growth opportunities.
• Represent Mastercard in client meetings, industry events and ecosystem forums, shaping the SME narrative.

Required profile

• 8+ years of fintech sales experience with a proven track record of revenue growth and pipeline management.
• Strong background in payments, financial services and digital distribution models.
• Excellent relationship‑building, influencing and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, matrixed global environment.
• Experience in SME banking, SME payments, fintech or consulting is highly desirable.
