Senior Business Development Manager – Nairobi

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will lead client acquisition and drive growth for SafeBoda Kenya. You will develop and execute demand‑generation strategies, manage a sales team and build lasting relationships with SME and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement SafeBoda Kenya’s demand growth strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Set and achieve revenue targets, identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of Sales Associates and Direct Sales Agents to meet individual and team targets.
• Maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with key SME and corporate clients, addressing concerns and ensuring high satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Product teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment of offerings with market demands.
• Provide regular market insights and client feedback to inform strategic decisions and product improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 5+ years of business development experience with a proven record of exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Knowledge of the transportation or ride‑hailing industry is an advantage.
