Assistant Lecturer - Clinical Psychology

About the role

The University seeks an Assistant Lecturer to join its Clinical Psychology department. This full‑time position involves teaching, research supervision, and contribution to curriculum development for both undergraduate and graduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical psychology.
• Mentor and support students in academic and career matters.
• Participate in curriculum design and periodic programme reviews.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct scholarly research in the lecturer’s area of expertise.
• Engage in university, professional and community service activities.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Earned Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD or equivalent) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral level.
• Publication record meeting CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014.
• Registration with the Counselors and Psychologists Board of Kenya (or relevant professional body).
• Experience supervising postgraduate students is an advantage.
