Bank Business Development Officer

About the role

Sheer Logic Management Consultants is hiring a Bank Business Development Officer in Nairobi (Westlands) to drive business growth. The role covers acquiring new customers, opening funded accounts, onboarding merchants to Pay bill / Till solutions, mobilizing deposits, recruiting agency banking agents and hitting monthly sales targets in line with the organization's strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and recruit new individual and business customers, open accounts in line with KYC and AML requirements and keep them funded and active.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Identify businesses needing collection solutions, acquire and onboard Pay bill and Till merchants, train them, support activation, monitor transactions and provide after-sales support.
• Source deposits from individuals, SMEs, institutions and corporates, grow deposit portfolios and encourage healthy account balances.
• Identify agency banking prospects, ensure agents meet eligibility requirements, submit their documents for approval and support activation.
• Maintain regular contact with customers, resolve concerns, cross-sell banking products and increase retention.
• Ensure complete customer documentation, comply with KYC, AML/CFT and internal policies, and keep customer information confidential.
• Prepare daily activity reports, weekly sales pipeline reports and monthly performance reports, and keep accurate customer records in the CRM.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Banking or a related discipline.
• 2 years' experience in sales.
