Business Development Associate

About the role

The Design Gallery is seeking a Business Development Associate to build and grow relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, developers and design professionals. You will manage the full sales cycle for luxury interior projects, from initial pitch through to delivery and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations and support closure of contracts for bespoke furniture and interior design projects.
• Manage the sales cycle for assigned projects, from first pitch to project handover.
• Meet and exceed personal sales targets and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotations and brand presentations.
• Act as day‑to‑day client contact, resolving routine issues and escalating complex matters.
• Coordinate client meetings, track project team output and ensure deliverables align with client briefs.
• Represent The Design Gallery at industry events and build a pipeline through networking.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience in client‑facing sales, account management or business development.
• Experience in luxury interiors, high‑end furniture, architecture or a comparable premium sector is an advantage.
• Proven record of supporting a client portfolio and consistently meeting revenue targets.
• Financial literacy sufficient to interpret profitability, margins and pricing.
• Genuine interest in design, art and luxury products.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CRM systems.
• Familiarity with project collaboration tools such as Click Up or equivalent.
