Managing Consultant, Services Business Development, East Africa

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead Services Business Development across East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. The role partners with account teams to drive growth among financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, telcos and public‑sector customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close Services opportunities, leading the full sales cycle from discovery to contracting.
• Develop integrated solutions by coordinating Mastercard Services capabilities and subject‑matter experts.
• Conduct market, industry and competitor analysis, produce financial models and executive recommendations.
• Manage cross‑functional delivery teams, provide commercial input and mitigate project risks.
• Own pipeline, revenue tracking, forecasting and performance reporting for the cluster.

Required profile

• Several years of managerial‑level experience in consulting, corporate strategy, banking, financial services, fintech or technology‑enabled business development.
• Proven ability to originate, develop and close consultative sales opportunities, preferably in payments or digital financial services.
• Strong structured problem‑solving, quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder‑influence abilities.
