Business Development & Engagement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development & Engagement Manager to drive market development and commercial strategy for our ruminant anti‑parasiticide portfolio across Sub‑Saharan Africa. The role blends strategic planning with hands‑on execution, building sustainable markets and partnerships that improve access to high‑quality animal health solutions for livestock producers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop market intelligence, sizing models and financial forecasts for animal health products.
• Design and implement a 3‑5‑year commercial strategy, prioritising countries and product positioning.
• Create phased country entry and go‑to‑market plans, assessing regulatory pathways and launch timing.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with distributors, importers and other partners; set KPIs and governance frameworks.
• Translate portfolio and pipeline strategies into executable country business plans.
• Monitor market adoption, identify new opportunities and accelerate uptake of innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, commercial strategy or market entry within the animal health, livestock or agricultural sectors.
• Strong understanding of Sub‑Saharan market dynamics, regulatory environments and stakeholder ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage multi‑country partnerships and drive results.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
