About the role
The Business Development Manager, Broker Channel will lead the implementation of the sales strategy for the corporate market segment through broker partners. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and nurturing key broker relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in formulating and executing the overall sales strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- Identify broker opportunities, negotiate and close deals within company guidelines to increase market share.
- Maintain and grow existing corporate client relationships, uncovering cross‑selling and new acquisition opportunities.
- Drive sales targets through focused broker partnerships and manage the recruitment of new broker partners.
- Provide accurate, competitive quotations for all product lines and ensure timely delivery to brokers and prospects.
- Conduct continuous product training for brokers to uphold product knowledge and professionalism.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic corporate clients to maximise revenue.
- Develop market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry trend reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams, marketing, and other managers to create additional sales opportunities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing or a related business discipline.
- Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK) and membership of CII or IIK.
- Minimum 10 years of insurance industry experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong sales and marketing expertise, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- In‑depth understanding of insurance operations, regulatory requirements, underwriting processes and product knowledge.
- Excellent stakeholder management, networking, and influencing abilities.
