Chief Executive Officer – Catholic Educational Trust

About the role

We are seeking an extraordinary, inspirational leader to guide The Cardinal Newman Catholic Educational Trust into an ambitious new chapter. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will shape the strategic direction of a growing family of Catholic schools, ensuring academic excellence and authentic Catholic formation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the Trust, its executive team, principals and educators.
• Develop and execute strategies that drive high performance, financial sustainability and school‑wide improvement.
• Promote and market the Trust to attract families and enhance its regional and national reputation.
• Foster collaborative relationships with diocesan partners, governors, staff and families through clear, servant‑leadership communication.
• Oversee the implementation of the Trust’s HEART values – Hope, Excellence, Authenticity, Responsibility, Truth.

Required profile

• Unswerving commitment to trust‑wide school improvement and Catholic education.
• Proven track record in executive or senior leadership within an educational or multi‑academy setting.
• Strategic acumen to drive performance, change and financial health.
• Authentic Catholic witness and ability to inspire confidence across the community.
