About the role

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Cook – Chinese Cuisine to join their team in Nairobi. The role involves preparing authentic Chinese dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and kitchen organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes to a high standard, following recipes and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces and accompaniments as required.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, kitchen hygiene and cleanliness of equipment.
• Manage ingredients efficiently to minimise waste and support timely service.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and suggest menu improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook/chef specializing in Chinese cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients and dishes.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Reliable, punctual and able to start work early next week.
• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.

What we offer

• Salary KES 35,000 – 40,000 per month, based on experience.
• Location: Macgray Business Park, Off Mombasa Road, Nairobi.
