Clinical Nurse II - PCU Core Float Part Time Nights

About the role

BayCare Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to provide part‑time night coverage on a float basis across multiple hospitals in the Tampa Bay region. This position works 2 twelve‑hour shifts per week, primarily overnight, supporting the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and ensuring high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Independently care for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to other members of the health‑care team.
• Maintain professional accountability and pursue ongoing development.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Required profile

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience in an acute‑care setting.
• Nursing specialty certification (preferred).
