Clinical Officer

About the role
The Clinical Officer will deliver high-quality patient care in a busy health facility, focusing on both communicable and non-communicable diseases. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing monitoring of patients.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients according to established guidelines.
- Manage and monitor patients with communicable diseases and NCDs, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Participate in continuous medical education, quality improvement initiatives and emergency response activities.
Required profile
- 2–3 years of overall clinical experience, including at least 1 year post-internship in a public or private hospital.
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
- Registered with the Clinical Officers Council and holding a valid practicing licence.
- Strong knowledge of non-communicable disease management.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
