About the role

Penda Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Officer to join its pediatric team. You will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents across our medical centres in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

Conduct thorough history taking and physical examinations for pediatric patients.
Diagnose, manage, and develop individualized care plans for acute and chronic pediatric conditions, including emergency stabilization.
Administer treatments and coordinate referrals to specialists or inpatient services when needed.
Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, development, and preventive care.
Stay current with pediatric clinical guidelines and protocols.

Required profile

Minimum of 1 year post‑training experience in pediatrics.
Higher National Diploma in Pediatrics.
Basic Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.

Required skills

Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills for pediatric patients.
Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Effective communication with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
