Collections/Recovery Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Collections/Recovery Officer to manage loan collections and work closely with customers to ensure timely repayments. The role involves handling overdue accounts while maintaining positive relationships and delivering excellent customer service. You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and ensure data integrity across customer records.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue payments and negotiate payment plans or arrangements.
• Maintain accurate collection records and update customer accounts promptly.
• Escalate complex or disputed cases to management for further action.
• Meet collection targets while adhering to debt collection regulations.
• Provide clear and professional communication to support customer understanding and compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in collections or customer service.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Professional handling of difficult conversations with patience and empathy.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of debt collection regulations.
