Company Driver – Transport & Vehicle Maintenance

About the role

The Company Driver will ensure safe and timely transportation of cleaning teams, equipment and materials between the office, stores and client sites across Nairobi. The role also includes daily care and maintenance of the company vehicle to keep it road‑worthy.

Key responsibilities

• Transport cleaning teams, supervisors, equipment and materials to and from client sites as scheduled.
• Plan routes in advance to guarantee punctual arrivals and departures.
• Assist with loading and off‑loading machines, tools and cleaning supplies.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, tyres, brakes, lights, mirrors).
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable inside and out.
• Schedule and follow up routine servicing, repairs and maintenance with approved garages.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, service history and trip logs.
• Report mechanical faults, accidents or incidents to the Operations Manager promptly.
• Ensure insurance, inspection stickers and other statutory requirements are up‑to‑date.
• Adhere to traffic laws, speed limits and company driving and safety policies.
• Support additional operational errands such as picking up supplies or delivering documents.

Required profile

• O’ Level KCSE certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Kenyan driving licence (Class BCE) in good standing.
• Valid PSV licence where regular staff transport is required.
• Minimum three years’ driving experience, preferably in a commercial or service‑delivery environment.
• Good knowledge of Nairobi and its surrounding routes.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic offences.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify issues early.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
