Customer Care Executive

About the role

Upperhill Gastroenterology, a well‑established specialist clinic in Nairobi, is looking for a warm, articulate and highly organised Customer Care Executive. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling calls, bookings and records with professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and handle patient calls professionally and courteously.
• Book clinic appointments, confirm them with patients, and follow up on missed appointments.
• Take and relay messages accurately and promptly to the doctor and the team.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of appointments, calls, messages and patient contacts.
• Coordinate the doctor's hospital schedule and procedure bookings.
• Assist with insurance pre‑authorisations.
• Support the clinic's social media and compile routine clinic reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Customer Service, Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field.
• At least three years' experience in a customer care, front office or call‑handling role, preferably in healthcare.
• Excellent telephone manner with clear, confident spoken English (Kiswahili an advantage).
• Strong record‑keeping and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Experience with appointment‑booking or practice management software.

What we offer

• Salary: KES 65,000 gross per month.
• Full‑time permanent employment.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 noon.
• Reports to: Clinic Administrator.
