Customer Service Specialist (Healthcare) – Part Time

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Customer Service Specialist with healthcare experience to deliver empathetic, professional support to patients in Nairobi. The role involves managing appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, compassionate patient support via phone and email.
• Schedule and optimise medical appointments, including appropriate double‑booking.
• Verify patient eligibility, pre‑visit requirements and maintain accurate records in EHR/EMR systems.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Handle sensitive situations using conflict‑resolution and de‑escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain continuity of care.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customer service within the healthcare sector.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR platforms and scheduling tools.
• Ability to manage confidential information accurately.
• Excellent English proficiency (B2+/C1).
