About the role

Provide accurate, timely and secure data and documentation support for KNEQAS proficiency testing panel production and scheme operations. Ensure traceable records, support participant enrolment, and prepare summaries for technical review.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and reconcile data from PT production worksheets, maintaining links between scheme, round, batch and item identifiers.
• Maintain verified participant and facility records, prepare enrolment lists and round trackers, and resolve duplicate or incomplete records.
• Prepare dispatch lists and labels, reconcile participant identifiers and PT item codes, and track dispatch and receipt.
• Enter authorized paper submissions, verify electronic and hardcopy records for completeness, and maintain a query and correction log.
• Prepare validated summaries of production, dispatch, participation and result submission for supervisor review and support document control and audit preparation.

Required profile

• Diploma in biological sciences or a relevant course; a bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
• At least one year of data management experience in a busy laboratory.
• Ability to use databases, spreadsheets and electronic records; familiarity with KNEQAS electronic PT systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of data verification, confidentiality, document control and laboratory safety.
