Field Relationship Manager – Kamukunji/Eastlands

About the role

This position is a field‑based role for a growing Nairobi footwear distribution company. You will be responsible for reviving dormant wholesale accounts in the Kamukunji and Eastlands markets, turning cold relationships into active buyers through daily on‑the‑ground engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Visit traders in Kamukunji/Eastlands each day to re‑engage inactive wholesale accounts.
• Follow up in person, rebuild trust, and convert silent accounts into regular buyers.
• Maintain a strong presence in the market, reporting progress and insights to the sales team.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local trading network.

Required profile

• Fluency in Kikuyu and English, both spoken and written.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in field sales, account recovery, or wholesale/distributor relations, preferably in footwear, textiles, or FMCG.
• Established relationships with traders in the Kamukunji/Eastlands area and a solid understanding of the local market.
• Reliable means of daily mobility within the market (on foot or by boda).
• Ability to provide concrete examples of previously recovered or grown accounts.

Required skills

• Field sales and account recovery expertise.
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution in footwear, textiles, or FMCG sectors.
• Strong networking skills within the Kamukunji/Eastlands trading community.
