Finance and Admin Officer – Consultancy for ALIGN Project

About the role

The Finance and Admin Officer will support the ALIGN initiative, a Global Financing Facility‑funded project aimed at improving adolescent health and nutrition across up to 12 African countries. Working under the Project Manager at The Youth Café, the officer will ensure sound financial and administrative management of the consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgeting, financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
• Oversee grant administration, including sub‑grant selection, disbursement, and monitoring.
• Coordinate with the Grants, Reporting and Compliance Officer and the Logistics and Procurement Officer to ensure seamless procurement and logistics processes.
• Prepare financial statements, operational manuals and audit documentation.
• Facilitate communication with consortium partners, CSOs, and YLOs, providing financial guidance and support.
• Travel occasionally to target countries for monitoring and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management for development or donor‑funded projects.
• Familiarity with grant management, reporting standards and procurement procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑country partners and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within the project’s geographic scope.
