Finance Specialist – Solar/Technical Company Experience Preferred

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Specialist to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role will support the financial operations of a company operating in the solar and technical sectors, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, timely reporting, and compliance with Kenyan regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and periodic reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgets, and reconcile bank statements.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and support audit processes.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments and support payroll preparation.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with management, procurement, sales and other departments on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax and statutory requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• CPA qualification or progress toward CPA is an advantage.
• 2–4 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and Kenyan tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in solar, power, engineering, construction or other technical industries is a plus.
