Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Reef Hotel is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager in Mombasa, Kenya. The post reports to the General Manager and sits within the Senior Management Team, cooperating with other Heads of Departments. It covers the F&B service outlets, production, animation and entertainment, aiming for excellent customer experience and world-class products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the F&B service and production teams, and to the animation and entertainment teams
• Track, report on and achieve targets, and mentor team leaders
• Supervise the division's day-to-day operations within agreed policies and develop and implement SOPs
• Keep food costs in line with the approved budget and ensure hygiene meets international standards
• Prepare regular performance reports for the General Manager and Controller, and recommend improvements to plans
• Promote sales across outlets, production, animation and entertainment, and plan ahead for long weekends, national holidays and events
• Set up a guest feedback system (e.g. Google, TripAdvisor) and act on feedback
• Develop revenue packages for family visits, corporate entertainment, private parties, weddings, birthdays and music and entertainment, and review menu prices with the Comptroller/CEO
• Manage the Animation and Entertainment team, giving special attention to weddings, birthdays and VIPs
• Take part in the company performance management system and corporate social responsibility activities
