Fractional Senior People Advisor

About the role

Educate! is seeking a Fractional Senior People Advisor to work directly with the CEO and executive team. This part‑time, fully remote consultancy (≈10–12 hours per week) will provide senior‑level people‑business partnership, helping the organization navigate growth, policy, and employment‑law challenges across four East African countries.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the executive team on high‑impact people decisions, including restructures, exits, performance issues, grievances and investigations.
• Interpret global HR policies and local employment laws (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania) into practical options and cost implications.
• Provide independent analysis of org‑design, team composition and succession planning as the organization scales.
• Pressure‑test decisions, flag hidden risks, and advise on when global standards should be adapted to local context.
• Coach leaders on cross‑cultural dynamics, facilitate sessions to unblock teams, and shape clear, honest communications around policy changes and leadership transitions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of senior HR, people, or organizational‑development experience, including advisory roles to CEOs or executive teams.
• Proven ability to translate complex people decisions into clear written communications that are accepted by staff.
• Comfortable delivering direct, confidential advice to senior leaders while remaining independent from execution.
