French Medical Interpreter & Care Navigation Ambassador

About the role

The French Medical Interpreter & Care Navigation Ambassador will serve as the primary communication bridge for French‑speaking patients and their families throughout their journey at Aga Khan Hospitals. You will ensure accurate interpretation, smooth navigation of hospital services, and a positive overall experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide precise French‑English interpretation and translation during consultations, procedures, ward rounds, family meetings, discharge discussions, and patient education sessions.
• Act as the main point of contact for French‑speaking patients from admission to discharge, coordinating access to clinical, diagnostic, pharmacy, finance and accommodation services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely patient flow and resolve any service‑related issues.
• Assist international patients with travel, accommodation and insurance inquiries when required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent health‑care qualification.
• Minimum two years of experience in patient care, patient navigation or customer‑service roles within hospitality or health‑care settings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Professional appearance and strong record‑keeping abilities.

Required skills

• Fluency in French (spoken and written).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
