Global Head of Portfolio Performance

About the role

The Global Head of Portfolio Performance will own the end‑to‑end credit lifecycle and drive portfolio strategy across Nairobi and the wider region. This senior role balances portfolio growth with credit quality while ensuring alignment with investor standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full credit lifecycle—from assessment and onboarding to repayment, collections, and recovery.
• Develop and maintain credit risk frameworks, scoring models, approval protocols and collection standards.
• Lead data‑driven reporting, risk dashboards and proactive mitigation of risks to investor returns.
• Monitor portfolio health, identify under‑performing markets and execute targeted interventions to improve collection rates.
• Manage field audit teams, sales quality control and post‑sale audits to detect fraud and improve sales processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in credit risk, portfolio management or related finance functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate credit insights into operational adjustments.
• Track record of building and mentoring multidisciplinary teams across CX, collections, audit and analytics.
