Head of Business – Kenya

About the role

Moniepoint is expanding into Kenya and is looking for a senior commercial leader to head its business operations. Reporting directly to the Country CEO, the Head of Business will own customer satisfaction, market share, revenue and cost performance for the Kenyan market.

Key responsibilities

• Own Kenya's commercial OKRs, focusing on customer satisfaction, market share and profit.
• Define market‑winning portfolio strategies and set product priorities.
• Manage and develop a team of Business Leads responsible for payment acceptance, lending, savings, card and payment issuing.
• Design go‑to‑market strategies based on deep customer and competitive analysis.
• Analyze competitors to identify white‑spaces and create a durable winning playbook.
• Drive growth marketing, customer acquisition, retention and engagement for merchants and SMEs.
• Build cross‑sell and upsell programs to maximize customer lifetime value.
• Manage partnerships with agent networks, aggregators, B2B channels and integration partners.
• Run commercial operations with discipline, owning data analytics and performance reporting.

Required profile

• Senior commercial leader with proven ability to set strategy and deliver results.
• Experience building and leading high‑performing teams.
• Track record of growing revenue, market share and profitability in a fintech or payments environment.
