Health and Safety Manager

About the role
We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead all occupational health and safety initiatives across our factory and warehouse operations. You will manage a dedicated safety team, ensure compliance with local regulations, and cultivate a zero‑harm safety culture throughout the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee occupational health and safety activities for warehouse and factory, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety management systems, procedures, and risk control measures.
- Direct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying and mitigating hazards promptly.
- Drive corrective and preventive action plans from inspections, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory findings.
- Create and deliver safety training programs, emergency drills, and awareness campaigns.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near‑misses, and occupational illnesses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain full compliance with local occupational health and safety legislation and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with government agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders on safety matters.
- Monitor safety performance indicators, analyze trends, and advise management on improvements.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly, and annual safety reports and maintain accurate records.
- Manage emergency response, fire safety, evacuation procedures, and business continuity plans.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the safety team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, and HR to embed safety into operational planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least four (4) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local occupational health and safety laws and environmental regulations.
