About the role
Nova Pioneer is seeking a dynamic teacher to deliver Computer Studies and Physical Education to students at the Tatu Girls Campus. The role starts in June 2026 and requires at least three years of secondary‑level teaching experience. You will help shape a 21st‑century learning environment that blends enquiry‑based inquiry with real‑world application.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and deliver enquiry‑based Computer Studies and P.E. lessons that meet Kenya curriculum requirements.
- Maintain positive, constructive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Develop lesson plans and collaborate with the Learning Design Team to review and update content.
- Create a classroom environment that is organized, developmentally appropriate, and conducive to learning.
- Infuse joy and passion for learning, encouraging academic excellence.
- Provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support all learners.
- Be accountable for students’ mastery of content and academic standards.
- Integrate interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.
- Set rigorous goals, communicate expectations, and give effective feedback.
- Apply consistent rewards and consequences, modelling expected behaviour.
- Contribute to the rapid growth objectives of the organisation.
- Serve as teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher as required.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of teaching experience at secondary level.
- Strong ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Effective classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student mastery and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to take on additional duties such as teacher on duty or boarding responsibilities.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of the Kenya curriculum for Computer Studies and Physical Education.
- Proficiency in integrating interactive technology into lessons.
- Experience designing and delivering enquiry‑based learning experiences.
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners and provide appropriate accommodations.
