HR & Administration Officer – FMCG Retail

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR & Administration Officer to support HR and administrative functions in a fast‑paced FMCG retail distribution environment. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with franchisees operating last‑mile retail outlets across Narok and Kajiado counties.

Key responsibilities

• Drive effective HR operations and ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
• Support employee performance management and employee relations.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training programmes for franchisee staff.
• Maintain HR records and administer HR information systems (HRIS).
• Travel frequently to last‑mile areas to provide on‑site HR support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
• CHRP (K) qualification or equivalent professional HR certification.
• 2–3 years of progressive experience in a busy HR department, preferably in FMCG, retail, logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and HR best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS).
