Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP)

About the role

Stratostaff East Africa is hiring a full-time Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) based in the Nairobi area. The HRBP works closely with business units to meet their HR needs, delivers strategic initiatives and advises senior managers so that teams and the organisation perform better.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units on HR needs and strategic initiatives, and advise senior managers.
• Develop recruitment strategies, oversee onboarding and build a strong employer brand.
• Manage employee relations and welfare programmes and coordinate staff welfare activities.
• Monitor probation periods and contracts, keep HR records accurate and update job descriptions and organograms.
• Support line managers with performance management and workforce planning, analysing data against approved plans.
• Compile monthly and quarterly HR reports on leave, overtime and workforce analytics.
• Coordinate training logistics and manage NITA applications and reimbursements.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated, implemented and followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HR management, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Higher National Diploma in Human Resources.
• CHRP professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in HR business partnering or similar roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in organisational development and performance management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HRIS and data analytics tools.
• Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
