Human Resource Officer – ALIGN Project (Consultancy)

About the role

The Human Resource Officer will support the ALIGN project, a Global Financing Facility‑funded initiative aimed at improving adolescent health and nutrition across up to 12 African countries. Working under the Project Manager at The Youth Café, the officer will provide HR consultancy services on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and contract management of project staff and consultants.
• Maintain and update HR records, ensuring compliance with donor and host‑country regulations.
• Support payroll processing, benefits administration, and staff performance appraisal cycles.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, staff grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for occasional field visits to target countries.
• Collaborate with Finance and Admin Officer, consortium partners, CSOs, YLOs, and donor representatives to ensure seamless HR operations.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in HR administration within international development or NGO settings.
• Familiarity with multi‑country project environments and donor compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work independently and in teams.
