Investment Support Associate

About the role

The Investment Support Associate will support Inkomoko Kenya’s investment pipeline, from borrower outreach and due‑diligence to portfolio monitoring and investment system management. The role is based in Dadaab and involves regular interaction with entrepreneurs, government and community leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Compile pipelines, respond to borrower inquiries, and guide entrepreneurs through application and repayment requirements.
• Conduct investment appraisals, collect personal and business data, open investment accounts, and prepare contracts for disbursement.
• Maintain a healthy portfolio by providing daily customer service, monitoring borrower performance, and keeping delinquency rates below targets.
• Track borrower payments, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Kiva partnership reporting.
• Maintain proficiency with investment software, train users, streamline processes, and generate related reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in micro‑finance, investment management, or lending to SMEs, preferably with exposure to Islamic lending.
• Proven ability to handle difficult client conversations and deliver results under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail, perseverance, and critical thinking skills.
• Legal right to work in Kenya and willingness to be based in Dadaab.
