Medical Officer – Ruaraka Clinic

About the role

Equity Afia is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join its franchised outpatient centre in Ruaraka, Westlands. The role involves delivering high‑quality, affordable healthcare to the local community while adhering to Kenyan health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and follow established care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and record‑keeping for all patient interactions.
• Administer medications and prescriptions safely and in accordance with protocols.
• Deliver basic and advanced life support when required.
• Utilise Health Management Information Systems for reporting and data entry.
• Ensure compliance with national healthcare policies, regulations, and reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or MBBS) from a recognised university.
• Registered with a valid licence from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• Minimum one year of internship experience in a public or private hospital.
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Knowledge of Kenyan healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in computer use, especially Health Management Information Systems.
