Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (National) – Kenya

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support Church World Service’s national programmes in Kenya, ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting across humanitarian and development projects. This full‑time position works closely with project teams, partners and beneficiaries to track performance and inform learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain monitoring tools, indicator trackers and databases for donor‑funded projects.
• Conduct field monitoring, beneficiary verification, surveys and partner follow‑up visits.
• Compile, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative data, producing regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support learning and accountability processes, including documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with programme staff to ensure data quality and alignment with project objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, data collection or related programme support roles.
• Experience in humanitarian, development, refugee assistance or community development programmes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organise accurate project data.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Swahili or French is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics or a related field.
