Offensive Security Specialist – Penetration Testing & Red Team

About the role

We are looking for an Offensive Security Specialist to lead penetration testing and Red Team operations across web applications, enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments and industrial systems. The role combines hands‑on technical testing with strategic advice on risk mitigation and secure design.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct offensive security activities, including penetration tests and Red Team simulations for custom, third‑party and complex enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, legacy, industrial platforms).
• Test cloud‑native and hybrid architectures, as well as Windows and Linux client/server environments.
• Document findings in detailed technical reports with risk ratings, business impact analysis and actionable remediation recommendations.
• Present results to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including engineering teams, management and customers.
• Advise on secure design principles, risk mitigation strategies and defensive improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands‑on experience in web‑application, infrastructure and network penetration testing.
• Experience testing complex, business‑critical applications; experience in industrial or chemical environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux client/server environments.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (identity, networking, cloud‑native services).
• Proficiency with offensive security tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of the secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and common vulnerability classes such as OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with Red Teaming, adversary simulation and attack‑chain techniques.
• Familiarity with source‑code review and static/dynamic application security testing.
• Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) – a plus.
• Knowledge of OT/ICS security – desirable.
