People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

World Vision Kenya is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to support and coordinate HR processes, policies and initiatives that enhance staff well‑being and contribute to the organization’s mission of helping vulnerable children. Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Manager, the role will work across talent planning, onboarding, learning, performance, employee relations and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employment contracts, monitor expiry dates, and coordinate renewals, extensions or terminations in line with grant periods and funding requirements.
• Plan and deliver staff well‑being initiatives, safety protocols and the annual Staff Care and Wellness program.
• Support talent acquisition by developing workforce plans, conducting fair recruitment processes and promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Oversee onboarding, performance management cycles and provide guidance on goal setting, reviews and improvement plans through the HRIS.
• Handle employee relations matters, ensuring investigations and disciplinary actions comply with Kenyan labour legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee records, generate workforce data, dashboards and quarterly P&C reports.
• Participate in policy development, compliance training and risk mitigation activities.
• Collaborate with line managers, security advisors and internal committees to implement HR projects and field visits.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as an HR generalist in a medium to large organization.
• Strong knowledge of Kenya labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, planning, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage employee relations and performance management processes.
• Detail‑oriented team player with strong written and presentation skills.

Required skills

• HRIS (Human Resource Information System) proficiency.
