Production Accountant – Manufacturing Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for a Production Accountant to join our manufacturing client in Nairobi. The role focuses on cost accounting, production analysis and delivering accurate financial information to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile cost accounting records for all manufacturing operations.
• Perform detailed production cost analysis and variance reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc financial reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to improve cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 + years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles.
• Ability to conduct production analysis and interpret financial data.

Required skills

• Proficiency in cost accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
