Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead daily manufacturing operations in a food production environment, ensuring targets are met while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. You will coordinate staff, equipment, and materials to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve output targets.
• Monitor production schedules, labour, machinery and raw material utilisation.
• Ensure products meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and timely reporting.
• Enforce food safety standards, GMP and company quality procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of processes and finished goods.
• Lead, motivate and train production staff, allocating duties per shift.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, packaging and supplies, coordinating with warehouse and procurement.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring proper use of PPE.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (minimum 3 years) in food manufacturing or similar production environment.
• Proven ability to supervise production teams and meet performance targets.
• Strong understanding of GMP, food safety and quality assurance practices.
• Experience with inventory and resource management.
• Good communication skills and ability to conduct training sessions.
