Programme Officer – Weaving Peace

About the role

The Programme Officer will join Interpeace’s Kenya Programme Unit and report to the Country Representative. The role focuses on coordinating the cross‑border "Weaving Peace" project in the Mandera Triangle, ensuring that activities are delivered on time, to quality standards and in line with donor and conflict‑sensitive requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day implementation across four outcomes and three implementing partners.
• Monitor progress, ensure compliance with the log‑frame, work plans, budget and donor requirements.
• Facilitate monitoring, reporting and financial‑compliance obligations.
• Act as the primary liaison between Interpeace country teams, implementing partners and the monitoring, learning and finance functions.
• Produce high‑quality reports, analyses and support programme communications and donor visibility.

Required profile

• Member of the Programmes Unit, reporting to the Country Representative.
• Works closely with the Peacebuilding Advisor for Horn of Africa, Programme Joint Management Committee, Partners team leader, DMEL team and Finance & Administration.
• Strong communicator able to produce clear, accurate reports and analyses.
• Experience in coordinating multi‑partner, cross‑border programmes and applying a conflict‑sensitive approach.
