Provider Relations Officer - Health

About the role

The Provider Relations Officer will manage Old Mutual's health provider network in Kenya, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective care for members. This role acts as the primary liaison between Old Mutual and its service providers, driving strategic purchasing and patient experience initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic purchasing: engage continuously with providers to secure high‑quality, cost‑effective care.
• Monitor patient experience by collecting and analysing feedback from providers.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date provider panel, assess regional adequacy, and conduct provider audits.
• Organise service meetings, deliver training on Old Mutual processes, and share performance reports.
• Coordinate provider contracting and manage the contract lifecycle.
• Support customer service teams during client meetings to ensure superior service delivery.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy hospital setting.
• Prior experience in health insurance preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of public and private healthcare providers in Kenya.
• Any insurance certification is an advantage.
