Public Relations Intern

About the role

A public relations internship in Nairobi, Kenya, supporting the PR team with communications, media relations and content work. The internship is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Draft press releases, media advisories and other communication materials for distribution
• Support coordination of media events, press conferences and promotional activities
• Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports on brand sentiment and industry trends
• Help manage relationships with journalists, influencers and other key media contacts
• Contribute to social media content and digital communication strategies
• Research industry developments and competitor activities to inform PR tactics
• Provide administrative support to the PR team as needed

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field
• 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience or internship background
• Based in or willing to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya

Required skills

• Solid understanding of media landscapes and public relations principles
