Rapid Response Rider

About the role

AA Kenya is seeking a Rapid Response Rider to provide emergency roadside assistance to members across Nairobi. The rider will operate a response motorbike, delivering fuel, fluids, and performing basic vehicle repairs on the spot.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and jump‑start flat batteries, deliver emergency fuel and essential fluids.
• Replace flat tires, inflate under‑pressured tyres and perform minor mechanical fixes such as overheating issues or loose belt checks.
• Use portable OBD‑II scanners to read and reset engine codes and provide basic on‑road diagnostics.
• Stabilise accident or breakdown scenes with safety cones and report to insurance.
• Coordinate post‑accident towing requests via dispatch app and maintain the response motorbike and emergency kit.

Required profile

• Valid Class A motorcycle licence and Class B certification or diploma in automotive engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in automotive repairs, diagnostics or garage services.
• Strong knowledge of Nairobi’s major highways and shortcuts.
• High trustworthiness and integrity when handling members’ vehicles and property.

Required skills

• Use of portable OBD‑II diagnostic scanners.
• Proficiency with GPS navigation apps.
• Experience with dispatch software for incident logging.
