Real Estate Research Intern

About the role

NW Realite Ltd is looking for a Real Estate Research Intern in Westlands, Nairobi. The intern collects, analyses and interprets real estate market data to support valuation, research, consultancy, property management, investment advisory and business decisions, and helps produce market intelligence publications, property briefs and articles.

Key responsibilities

• Collect property market data from field surveys, online platforms, government publications and internal databases, including sales, rentals, occupancy, development activity and trends
• Conduct market surveys, property inspections and site visits where required, and monitor economic, demographic and regulatory developments
• Clean, validate and organise data, maintain the property market database and help digitise and standardise historical records
• Analyse trends, rental movements, values, yields and vacancy rates, and prepare summaries, charts and dashboards in Excel and Power BI
• Help prepare market research reports, sector reports and property market updates, and present findings professionally
• Support valuation and consultancy work by compiling comparable sales and rental evidence, and assist feasibility studies, highest and best use analyses and investment appraisals
• Research and write property briefs, market commentaries and articles, and develop content for the website, newsletters, blogs and social media
• Support ongoing research and data analytics projects, prepare presentations and reports for management and clients, and keep confidential company and client information

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate, Estate Management, Valuation & Property Management, Economics, Statistics or Data Science, or a related discipline
