Recruitment and Staff Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Recruitment and Staff Development Manager to lead our talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee growth initiatives at Crystal Africa Cleaning Service Limited in Nairobi. The role combines strategic hiring with comprehensive staff development to support our expanding operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment for all departments, from job description drafting to offer negotiation, ensuring compliance with the Kenyan Employment Act.
• Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies using job boards, social media and professional networks.
• Oversee a company‑wide onboarding programme that equips new hires with tools, culture integration and performance readiness.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement a leadership and development programme, including skill‑gap analysis and coordination of workshops and certifications.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage the evaluation cycle and support career‑pathing and retention initiatives.
• Collaborate with Payroll & Attendance Manager to approve schedules, reconcile hours and resolve attendance issues.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS entries and HR analytics, monitoring turnover, training completion and hiring costs.
• Ensure all HR practices adhere to company policies and Kenyan labour legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of progressive HR experience, preferably in recruitment and staff development.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end hiring processes and onboarding programmes.
• Experience designing leadership or learning programmes and conducting performance management.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience handling HRIS data and reporting.
