Registered Nurse – OR Seasonal 13‑Week Assignment

About the role

BayCare Health Systems is seeking experienced Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurses for seasonal 13‑ to 26‑week assignments across its network of 16 nonprofit hospitals. The role involves independent patient care in a fast‑paced surgical environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to develop and update patient care plans.
• Identify patients at risk for injury and prepare the operating room environment accordingly.
• Serve as preceptor or charge nurse when assigned.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience in an acute OR setting; 2 years preferred.
• Must reside permanently more than 150 miles from the local market.
• Independent transportation for assignments.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
