Retail System Operations Manager (Senior)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Retail System Operations Manager to lead the implementation and optimisation of retail systems across the African market. The role will drive system standardisation, support business growth initiatives and ensure efficient execution of retail operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the operational rollout of new retailing systems across business units and regions.
• Develop and refine SOPs for system operations, covering store launches, inspections, issue resolution and operational reviews.
• Build and manage local retail system operation teams, providing training, guidance and performance follow‑up.
• Organise system training, store inspections and compliance activities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with headquarters and local stakeholders to resolve system issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Produce regular operational reports and deliver data‑driven insights for management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher with at least 5 years of experience in retail operations, system operations or ERP/POS/OMS/WMS implementation.
• Experience in consumer electronics, telecommunications, retail chains or operator channels.
• Strong understanding of store operations including procurement, inventory, sales, reconciliation and distribution.
• Proven experience in SOP development, operational management and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent English communication skills; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned markets.
